Dragon Chicken Recipe:

Ingredients:

- 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon ginger paste

- 1 teaspoon garlic paste

- 1 tablespoon soy sauce

- 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup

- 1 tablespoon chili sauce

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust according to your spice preference)

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

- 2 tablespoons oil, for frying

- 2 tablespoons oil, for stir-frying

- 1 medium-sized onion, finely chopped

- 1 medium-sized bell pepper (capsicum), thinly sliced

- 3-4 green chilies, slit lengthwise

- 2 tablespoons spring onions, finely chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, ginger paste, garlic paste, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, red chili powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth batter.

2. Add the chicken pieces to the batter and mix until each piece is coated evenly. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.

3. Heat oil in a deep pan or wok over medium-high heat for frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated chicken pieces one by one, ensuring they do not stick together. Fry the chicken until golden brown and crispy. Remove the fried chicken from the oil and set aside on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

4. In a separate pan or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent.

5. Add the thinly sliced bell pepper and green chilies to the pan. Stir-fry for a couple of minutes until they are slightly tender but still retain their crunch.

6. Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan and toss them together with the onions, bell pepper, and green chilies. Stir-fry for another minute to combine the flavors.

7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and give it a final toss.

8. Serve hot as an appetizer or as a side dish with steamed rice or noodles.

Enjoy your delicious Dragon Chicken!
